If no host name is explicitly configured for a POA instance, the acceptor will
call InetAddress.getCanonicalHostName() to retrieve a host name. This forces a
connection to be made to the DNS to attempt to resolve the host. If the
machine is disconnected, this causes things to hang until the DNS connection
times out. This should just be using getHostName() rather than forcing the
connection to be made.
