Monitoring console docs

I've been trying to understand how the monitoring console works and  
found this documentation:

While it doesn't appear completely consistent (the last sentence  
appears to predate the MRCJMX)  I think this should be moved to the  
2.2 docs?

Are there any other docs available?


BTW the current code doesn't appear very satisfactory to me, I'm  
working on some improvements.
