If you make even the smallest change to a parameter in web.xml of an --inPlace
deployed webapp you have to undeploy the app via console, then go to a unix
shell and deploy.sh the web app again.
This is not a good user experience.
It should be possible to pick up changes from console (as in Tomcat
stand-alone, where restarting the app from console picks up changes in web.xml
and classes).
BTW, I think --inPlace deployment is an important feature, as it makes changes
in web apps easy. Usually ;-)
