David Jencks commented on GERONIMO-5682:
----------------------------------------
I think ideally we would like to scan the application to see if the package is
present in the application itself and if so, not import it. I haven't looked
into how hard this would be to implement. If it doesn't look easy and your
idea of adding "optional" to all the generated imports works, I think we can
use your suggestion for M2. As you say, perhaps with bundle extenders we won't
need to add any import-packages anyway.
I doubt it would be a user-friendly solution, but would it also work to ask
people to explicitly export packages in the app that are used for gbeans?
