This wasn't really a fix, but a work around. We've now got this hack in
multiple places and it's still not enough. There are classloading environments
not under our control. We need a better solution...
I've created an Equinox bug report --

There may be other solutions, but would be cool if Equinox could help detect
this situation like Felix does.
