Thomas Butz created GERONIMO-6911:
-------------------------------------

             Summary: GeronimoWorkManager doesn't handle
RejectedExecutionException
                 Key: GERONIMO-6911
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/GERONIMO-6911
             Project: Geronimo
          Issue Type: Bug
      Security Level: public (Regular issues)
            Reporter: Thomas Butz

According to the Javadoc for the WorkManager interface, all methods throw
either a WorkException or a WorkRejectedException, which is a subclass of
WorkException. However, the current implementation of
GeronimoWorkManager.executeWork() does not handle a RejectedExecutionException
from its executors, causing it to be escalated to the invoker.

In my opinion, this is a leaking implementation detail and should be covered by
an additional catch clause alongside the InterruptedException. It should be
wrapped in a WorkRejectedException.
