Sure, sorry for omitting details.
The main purpose is to make the home page leaner and with a more natural flow.
This means eliminating some unnecessary information (e.g., how to pronounce
Giraph) or outdated (e.g., the list of newbie tasks, which no one is updating)
and in general some lengthy wordings and repetitions.
I think this version looks more like a project's home page: it conveys all the
important information, and refers to other content for expanding on it.
