Well, both approaches has pros and cons.
Embedding into Giraph makes it re-usable among Nutch 1.x, 2.x and other
possible apps and reduces clutter in Nutch (which was suggested before), makes
testing and maintenance easier with maven.
On the other hand, embedding in Nutch removes irrelevant code from the core
Giraph codebase.
I can port it to Nutch if that sounds better.
