William Jones created GIRAPH-974:
------------------------------------

Summary: Unable to run simple Giraph jobs
                 Key: GIRAPH-974
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/GIRAPH-974
             Project: Giraph
          Issue Type: Bug
          Components: build, documentation
    Affects Versions: 1.0.0
            Reporter: William Jones

I'm going through the Apache Giraph quick start tutorial:
http://giraph.apache.org/quick_start.html and have successfully setup a
pseudo-distributed hadoop cluster and have successfully run the example
mapreduce jobs.

However when moving to the Giraph section, I've installed Giraph using maven
and I'm for some reason unable to run the simplest of Giraph jobs.

I've added the tiny_graph to my hdfs, but running their example command:

hduser@fonz-VirtualBox:~/Giraph$ $HADOOP_HOME/bin/hadoop jar
/usr/local/giraph/giraph-examples/target/giraph-examples-1.2.0-SNAPSHOT-for-hadoop-1.2.1-jar-with-dependencies.jar
 org.apache.giraph.GiraphRunner
org.apache.giraph.examples.SimpleShortestPathsComputation -vif
org.apache.giraph.io.formats.JsonLongDoubleFloatDoubleVertexInputFormat -vip
/user/hduser/input/tiny_graph.txt -vof
org.apache.giraph.io.formats.IdWithValueTextOutputFormat -op
/user/hduser/output/shortestpaths -w 1
Gives me:
