Ferdy Galema commented on GORA-94:
----------------------------------
Reference to the ResolvingDecoder thread.
http://mail-archives.apache.org/mod_mbox/avro-user/201202.mbox/%3ccagarif0gwxf278-df63seu65reezt6hh3mgn5gzrrg6n1aq...@mail.gmail.com%3E
I looked into this and unfortunately could not fix all the errors that arise
when updating Avro to 1.6.2. I came a long way, but FakeResolvingDecoder is
still a bit unclear to me, as well as the getField(...) calls. When the inner
workings of Gora are a bit more clear to me, I will continue this update
attempt.
In order to not block Hadoop 1.0, I propose to simply update Hadoop but leave
Avro be. Please see my notes for updating Hadoop in GORA-76.
