For the time being there is some documentation on the Nutch wiki regarding setting up Nutch with Gora and persisting the data to HBase. You may wish to have a look there is you are more familiar with Nutch. Regarding the newbie links for NoSQL... surely there is a power of material available. For example try going to HBase Cassandra Accumulo etc wiki's and learning about data models nd the difference NoSQL models offer to their relational cousins.
