Alfonso Nishikawa commented on GORA-109:
----------------------------------------
Hi, Renato.
By now, create a GoraStorage() inside Gora Proyect. You read with it (and
gora.properties + gora-xxx-mapping.xml), work with Pig abstractly, and save
your results (if you want) with GoraStorate() too.
After stable, ask Pig proyect if they want to add it to Pig.
About data types, mapping Records to Tuples, Arrays to Bags and Maps to Maps.
To save, Do the reverse operation, but rely on Tuple_field/Bag/Map names to
convert back to Gora.
For recursive schemas still have to think about. Surely data will have some
restrictions, like only ['null','anothertype'] optional fields, or having to
define some recursive depth. Still not sure about this.

> This has been on the agenda from the start and I suppose will be purely use
> case driven. Persoanlly I haven't touched Pig as I don't have a use-case
> driven requirement to do so, however there is no harm in this being logged if
> in the future it attracts interest.
