Description:
We've discussed on the mailing list the creation of release branches during the
release management process.
We need to re-evaluate the appropriateness of the [release
procedure|https://cwiki.apache.org/confluence/display/GORA/Apache+Gora+Release+Procedure+HOW_TO]
to reflect improvements and advances within Git release management.
I came across this tutorial http://www.radcortez.com/maven-git-release/
It mentions the [JGit-Flow
Plugin|https://bitbucket.org/atlassian/jgit-flow/wiki/Home].
We should evaluate it for improving the release procedure for 0.6 release.
