Hey,
I think there is some space for improvement the way logging in gradle
looks like. It is the interface to the user and I think important to
sell gradle. I think ant does the best job of all build tools I used.
taskName:
<TAB> [component] message
I think there should be no symbols like ":" or "+" as prefix just the
right amount of indentation, everything else make the text fringed.
Also I think it makes sense to try very hard to make sentence as short
as possible.
For example:
No tasks have been specified and the project has not defined any
default tasks.
could be
No task executed. Specify one!
or
Build failed with an exception.
Run with -s or -d option to get more details. Run with -f option to
get the full (very verbose) stack trace.
could be:
BUILD FAILED.
Use -d to see details.
By the way it is very confusing that there is -s, -d and -f. I
personal think -d<logLevel> would be a better choice.
...just my 2 cents.
