I have been thinking about that. This is the way Maven is doing
things. But I couldn't see any reasons why we should exclude
transitive dependencies here. The providedCompile conf is used only
indirectly for compiling, by the compile conf extending it. And the
compile conf exposes only the first level dependencies of
providedCompile.
And the users can always choose the "org:name:[EMAIL PROTECTED]" notation for
providedCompile, if they don't want transitive dependencies here.
