I did a new checkout out prior to trying to create a new TestNG branch.
It seems that the code between the old trunk and the new trunk is very
different. Is it that there are lots of things missing in the new trunk
that were in the old trunk?

In particular there were 884 revisions in the old trunk and only 815
revisions in the new trunk (as measured by Bazaar). The most obvious
thing in that changes associated with GRADLE-316 exist in the old trunk
but not in the new trunk.

On the upside: My Bazaar shared repository has shrunk from 480MB to
20MB and my Git repository from 138MB to 12MB. This is good :-)
