Run gradle -Dskip.integTest install and set the gradle_installDir and gradle_installDirName properties somewhere (I put them in build.gradle)?
I think we should spilt the install task into e.g. install_base, install_sources, install_docs, install_samples. This would also be usefull for the debian packages (gradle, gradle-sources, gradle-docs, gradle-samples) or for an installer (we could use http://izpack.org for this).
