I think Trunk has to be considered blockingly broken even if it does
pass all its tests.  My build makes no mention of the Gradle war plugin
and yet that is the only place where the string providedCompile appears
in the Gradle source code.  My project is a pure Java jar one so I
shouldn't have any relationship with the war plugin.  I argue therefore
that the fact that I am getting the above message is proof of a breakage
of some sort.
