Your choice, but I would expect Codehaus to object.

And perhaps they are wrong as well.

I will, of course, switch to using the Git repository on GitHub as
master, but I think this is a Very Big Mistake unless the project ceases
to claim to be a Codehaus project.

Have you checked with Ben about the notification stuff to see if
Codehaus support it? 

I'm afraid I don't find GitHub at all appealing.  I'm not entirely sure
why RubyGems are of any interest here?

But as I say, it is your choice, for the rest of us to follow.
