Marcus Better has posted an issue with Groovy and transitive

Basically that means we have to disable transitive=true for the
compile configuration in Groovy projects. I really like the check for
first level dependencies usage. Eventually it would be good to have it
in the validation phase.
Interestingly, this issue has also shown up with the Scala plugin: http://jira.codehaus.org/browse/GRADLE-461
. I had no time to investigate if this is really related to the Scala
plugin or would also show up in Java projects.
