I checked out the Wrapper task code and if I read it correctly the gradle-wrapper.jar of the (old) gradle version is copied into the project directory, because we migrated to a multiproject build the gradle jar file is renamed to gradle-core and the (old) gradle-wrapper.jar looks for a gradle-XX.jar file that doesn't exist anymore.
