We have had several occasions using 0.9 rc-1 where developers have changed java
source files and built, but the up-to-date checking indicated that compileJava
was up to date and didn't actually recompile. I'm not sure if this was
happening before or if it is something that was introduced in rc1. I have not
had reports of this happening with the previous version we were using (which
was from a couple of months earlier). This is very frustrating for someone
when it does occur, it can take quite a while to track down if you are
expecting your recent changes to really have compiled.
What is the best way to help debug this problem when it does occur?
