Except that terminology in this situation matter a very great deal.
Where there are similar ideas elsewhere, then being consistent with
elsewhere helps people understand.  Choosing incompatible terms where
ideas are similar just causes people problems, or is an indicator of
actively trying to create a local isolated clan/ghetto.  Witness target,
task, process, channel, etc., etc.
