Hi Luke Personally, I would not like it if the default is to fail for compiler warnings. But, a convenient way on the compile task to turn on this behavior would be great.
In our projects, we always have a separate CI build to run checkstyle, findbugs, inspections, etc. Such a code-check CI build could also check and fail for compiler warnings by setting an explicit flag on the Gradle build. My two cents worth.
