* Discussed the RC2 Progress as we received every RC2 slated ticket. Numerous tickets were moved out of RC2. * We reviewed the codestyle PR and decided to proceed with merging. Auto-formatting will occur in a separate PR * We briefly discussed https://github.com/apache/grails-core/issues/14944#issuecomment-3221960223 - we need additional grails-dependencies-starter-* - there was push back on gsp included by default for plugins, we proposed creating a grails-dependencies-base (intended for plugins by default) & grails-dependencies-rest-api - grails-dependencies-rest-api would have the web starter + rest dependencies * We reviewed the state of grails-plugins metadata & Sören mentioned he is working on tracking versions via tag iteration automatically * Reviewed the groovy5 support status - groovy requires jdk11 minimum - spock still does not support, but James did some initial exploration here: https://github.com/spockframework/spock/discussions/2160#discussioncomment-14186360 -- underscore is not allowed on jdk8+ which is a breaking change for spock, see discussion for possible workarounds - Delegate - need to add types & compiles now -- https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/GROOVY-11736 - Other: https://issues.apache.org/jira/projects/GROOVY/issues/GROOVY-11743 - 5 also undoes reproducibility changes we made for Grails, we need to revisit once we can setup 5 for grails -James
