Hello James Fredley and the Grails dev members,

I hope you are doing well. I am writing to express my interest in applying
for the “Author and Publish New Practical Guides for Apache Grails” project
for GSoC 2026.

Over the past few weeks, I have been exploring the Grails ecosystem in
depth. I have gone through the official documentation, reviewed existing
guides, studied the guide repository structure, and submitted a few PRs to
understand the contribution workflow better. These activities have helped
me build a clearer perspective on the project and the expectations around
GSoC this year.

Technically, I am comfortable working with Python, C++, C, Rust, Go,
JavaScript, React, PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, Redis, Docker, Kubernetes,
and CI/CD pipelines. Alongside my ongoing contributions, I have also been
learning additional frameworks and tools to align better with Grails and
support the project more effectively.

As I prepare my proposal, I would appreciate any guidance on current
documentation priorities or areas where new guides would be especially
helpful. It would also be helpful to know if there is anything I might be
missing—specific tasks, discussions, or areas I should explore further—to
prepare a strong and well-aligned proposal.

Thank you for your time, and I look forward to your guidance.

Regards,
Ajay
