Whatever the problem was, it was straightened out when I built 2.0.4.
Audio is now working fine.

then later tried to rebuilt with ENABLE_PASF set to "YES". I built
both with and without directx enabled, but it doesn't work either way.
How do I go about figuring out what's wrong in my environment?
