Hi to everyone! There are many modern graphical methods used in statistics.
Indeed, plotting complex data is not trivial. Therefore, many special methods were developed and have evolved in recent years.
I hope that everybody subscribed to this list will find some time to browse through the Data Viz Gallery (http://www.math.yorku.ca/SCS/Gallery/bright-ideas.html; see also the main page, http://www.math.yorku.ca/SCS/Gallery/) and explore some of these new methods. I definitely recommend taking a closer look to these fresh ideas. The graphics are accompanied by a short description emphasising the relevance of the new technique.
