I am sorry, it has been a busy week.
I have tried this in the meantime and it works for me. I have changed
the 'ReadOnlyDoc' flag of the SID_ATTR_CHAR slot in svx/sdi/svx.sdi to
FALSE, built and delivered svx and sd, copied the contents of the
wntmsci10 directories into my office installation directory and the text
button was grayed out for a read-only document.
Did you do the same?
