Hi,
when I first added all those links, I had only limited time to judge the
importance of every chart type. It was more of a tour de force through
the various chart types and I categorised very broadly those charts as
high priority and low priority.
Maybe a more thorough investigation into the usefulness and priority of
every chart is needed. There are also additional chart types not
included in the list.
Also, various chart types are likely more useful to some users and get
therefore a higher priority than for other users.
There are still some very basic chart categories not covered in the
current implementation, so they deserve a higher priority. I will
mention especially Venn-diagrams, Gantt charts and various
chart-combinations (including
http://www.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=77963) which seem
definitely useful. Also, not to forget
http://www.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=75725 and box-plots
(currently not described; for some derivatives see
http://addictedtor.free.fr/graphiques/RGraphGallery.php?graph=102),
which from a professional point of view, are some of the most important
graphical tools. Others like maps are very useful to a specific
user-group, though they may be currently more difficult to implement.

Thanks Tony! Yes the structure is more appropriate now and I like
that you added a lot nice pictures :-)
Only I doubt that there is a consensus about the order of importance
of each type.
