Hi, I tried to print the attached drawing on a two processor, dual core Opteron board (MSI K8N Master2FAR), Suse 11.1 box with OOo 3.1. Printer is a Konica Minolta 2530 DL color laser printer, network connected, Cups 1.3.9 printing system.
It takes about a quarter of an hour to get it printed, ate 100% of one of the four cores, and made a printjob of 15071 KB. Exporting to pdf and printing that fomr adobe was slightly faster (10 min.), and a smaller printjob: 9338 KB. Two other users, who tried to print the same document, had varying experiences: painfully slow on Vista 64-bit, fast (30 secs) on a dual proc AMD Ununtu 64-bit system. So it could go fast, but why is it so slow with others? Thanks in advance for your reply. regards, Jogchum Reitsma
