I am sorry, no. I think this will be implemented independent.
As you may already know, Excel has
a feature to display data pilot charts (charts from data pilot table).
You are welcome to add your votes to issue 14506

in case you haven't already!
The first issue is about having a data pilot chart at all and the second
issue is about having a full featured editing interface for the data
