No, probably not. Issue 107605 describes trouble with the selection of
slides, not a performance problem.
For project Renaissance I am currently overhauling the slide sorter.
Among other things I will look both at performance problems as well as
the sometimes broken selection.
Will be great if you can fix this. Currently it is not really
workable... (will adapt my work flow to prevent slide sorting.)
