GitHub user Jesshuan created a discussion: Is Gravitino "cascading query" feature for trino connector really exists ?...
Hey, Within my company, we're trying to connect an older Trino 435 cluster to Gravitino so we can use it from a Trino 476 cluster. Unfortunately, as you know, Gravitino—although absolutely brilliant—doesn’t yet work with Trino 476 for a Hive catalog outside of Iceberg, even though I understand some work is already underway. (?) So for now, I turned to the “cascading queries” feature with a bit of a hacky idea in mind: using Gravitino to make the two clusters talk to each other as if they were clusters in different cloud region zones. The documentation really makes you want to try it: https://gravitino.apache.org/docs/1.0.0/trino-connector/trino-cascading-query but the related code doesn’t seem to exist soemwhere ! Gone? … GitHub link: https://github.com/apache/gravitino/discussions/9150 ---- This is an automatically sent email for [email protected]. To unsubscribe, please send an email to: [email protected]
