``` The vote will be open for at least 72 hours or until necessary number of votes are reached. ``` The 72 hours is optional. I referred to the official document https://www.apache.org/foundation/voting.html The document used the words ``` Voting periods should generally run for at least 72 hours to provide an opportunity for all concerned persons to participate, regardless of their geographic location. ``` They don't use the word `must`.
