Hello Gravitino devs 👋 I’m new to the Gravitino project and community and I would like to better understand how to collaborate and interact with the community.
I’m part of the Apache Fluss PPMC and I’m looking gravitino to create a unified governance solution focusing on Apache Flink, Fluss, Iceberg and Paimon. As a first step I would like to collaborate with the community to help bump up Flink versions, I left some comments here: https://github.com/apache/gravitino/pull/10442 It would be great to get at least Flink 1.20 supported and then add Flink 2.x (maybe the upcoming Flink 2.3??) and also integrate Flinks Materialised Tables. Along with that I would also like to help add support for Apache Fluss, there is already a great proposal I reviewed https://github.com/apache/gravitino/pull/10896 So I’m looking to understand again what’s the best way to get to know the Gravitino community, collaborate, and what’s the best way to create proposals and on Gravitino. I see there is no dedicated slack (ASF only) and no confluence for proposal, so it feels a bit tricky. I’m also curious if there is a concrete 2026 roadmap and future release plans. Best, Giannis
