Hello everyone! Apache Gravitino v1.3.0 has been released.
Apache Gravitino provides a unified metadata and governance layer for data and AI assets across catalogs, engines, and regions. This release includes several major updates: - Logical view management: first-class, versioned logical views across supported catalogs, APIs, Java client, Web UI, and engine connectors. - Hierarchical namespaces: multi-level nested namespaces in the core REST server and Iceberg REST Catalog. - AWS Glue catalog and engine connector support: AWS Glue catalog support with Trino and Spark connector adapters. - Built-in identity provider and local authentication: built-in IDP model, password hashing, user/group/relation storage, REST APIs, and Basic authentication. - Iceberg REST Catalog improvements: federated catalog support, vended credential refresh, freshness-aware table loading, nested namespaces, and asynchronous cleanup. - Broad improvements across authorization, connectors, Python client, Web UI, observability, deployment, and runtime stability.
