(Just passing by, probably it can be relevant.) Talking about Livy, I've found
that escaping works as expected only if Livy is using cluster mode when
submitting jobs. In client mode, AM fails because \` is not getting expanded on
container side, and griffin job can't parse broken json. Probably that should
be documented somewhere.
