Hi, I'm thinking of closing the above issue as Won't Fix. I think there are too many inconsistencies around CharSequence in Java as well as Groovy that mean the enhancements don't make a lot of sense. And there are always toList() and join() to provide relatively easy access to the methods such as sort(), count(), head(), etc.
