Still not trolling, even if you keep pounding that :-)

But I have given my arguments and said all I want on this (by now very off) topic, so I would let it rest there: I have never liked the Groovy logo, in part due to me associating it with the Soviet Union and left wing terrorism, but I love Groovy, so peace out G-)

Cheers,

As I said, the essential element here is the "red" and definitely not the "star".

Hence, we remain puzzled why you're trolling us with any sort of connection between the Groovy star logo (it's light/grey blue) and the Communist Red Star.

"A red star, five-pointed and filled (★), is an important symbol
that has often historically been associated with communist
ideology, particularly in combination with the hammer and sickle,
but is also used as a purely socialist symbol in the 21st century."

How do you not know that *puzzled* ?

I agree with the Groovy support, though...

You're trolling us, right?  The only thing "Communist" about that
is the red.  The figure is purely a filled pentagram.

Great to see OpenOffice getting renewed support for Groovy scripting.

        Scale horizontally:

Change fill color, add black outline:

        Add font-of-choice groovy text:

That's why I jokingly call it the communist logo.
I personally agree with the recent critique towards the logo
looking old and not entirely professional, but apart from
that the fact that it is quite wide makes it not a good fit
with regards to being used as an icon:

It also does not scale well down to small size:

But it was just a suggestion,
