Hi folks, just an update. The Grails team has been making great progress on getting Grails 7 ready, e.g.:
* An update after the recent Spring security plugin migration: https://youtu.be/UsJk2iNOGMY * A little more status info: https://github.com/orgs/grails/projects/3/views/2 Grails 7 is the version that is planned to come to the ASF. Much of the finishing up part of Grails 7 could happen after "arriving" at the ASF but Grails is large with many repos/plugins including numerous legacy ones and arriving at the ASF with a leaner footprint will make onboarding easier. So I expect that we'll see things happening shortly and we'll need to have further discussions with a concrete proposal and ultimately vote on Grails entering the ASF. Separate to Grails, a couple of other projects are considering joining us. I'll keep folks updated when things are ready for discussion/voting. Cheers, Paul.
