Hi Dave, We (Groovy as sponsors/mentors) are following the general Incubator procedures but updating as needed for Groovy being the sponsor:
https://incubator.apache.org/policy/incubation.html That document has placeholders in some places, e.g. for disclaimer wording it has > Apache Podling-Name is an effort undergoing incubation at The Apache Software Foundation (ASF), sponsored by the name of Apache TLP sponsor. So we advised Grails to put "Apache Groovy" in there in place of "the name of Apache TLP sponsor". Other things are hard-coded as per the typical incubator setup, e.g. sending certain emails to private@incubator which we adapt to private@groovy. This isn't a criticism of that document, it is afterall, an incubator policy document accounting for the usual case of incubator as sponsor. But where it is an obvious change of incubator => groovy in that document, that is what we do. With regard to moving releases under incubator, for grails, would it instead be under groovy since that is where the mentors have access to? Does that sound right to you? Cheers, Paul.
