I would add in terms of Groovy 5 adoption that frameworks such as Micronaut are 
updating to Groovy 5 in their next major version 
<https://github.com/micronaut-projects/micronaut-core/pull/12170>, Micronaut 5. 

Moreover, Spock support for Groovy 5 is almost released as GA 
<https://github.com/spockframework/spock/discussions/2160>.
