For the past couple of weeks, I have been working through to merge open PRs
and get in some dependency updates. I think it's time we cut a Geb release
in the 8.x line. Given that this would include:

   1. The test-containers integration
   2. The playwright experimental module
   3. The merged example modules for Gradle, Maven, and JUnit (still
working on Cucumber example, but PR is coming soon)
   4. The new Geb AI skill markdown

I think a minor release version makes more sense than a patch version.
(8.1.0 instead of 8.0.2).

After that, I'd like to work on building a next major version release. My
thinking is that this should include:

   1. A Groovy upgrade - Part of me thinks we should do a 9.0 based on 5.x
and a 10.0 based on 6.x, but feel free to talk me out of that if you think
   that's a bad plan.
   2. BiDi support, as a Selenium-friendly alternative to Playwright that
still realizes a lot of the same value

My question is whether there's anything that anyone else would like to see
in any of these releases? This could include work on the thread safety
concerns laid out in
https://lists.apache.org/thread/vb8dtnpynwzok2cq8vqzglx6r7o8c9jc or
something else entirely. Would love to hear from the Grails folks about
what their needs are.

Best,

Jonny
