Geoffrey, The Groovy project uses a DVCS workflow based around use of Git. Anyone wishing to contribute to the Groovy implementation should take a clone of the Git repository from GitHub, make their changes to the code, and then make a pull request via GitHub. It's well worth outlining potential contribution on the developer list first to get feedback.
