as a first step you might want to have a look at the current PDF export
code; you can find this in the filter project in filter/source/pdf and
the details of PDF file creation in the vcl project in
vcl/source/gdi/pdf*.cxx (and the header vcl/inc/pdfwriter.hxx which
contains the almost nonexistant documentation).
Also it might be a good idea to make yourself familiar with the OOo
build system, http://tools.openoffice.org/ would be a starting point here.
