I think Philipp's idea will work well by simply assigning an empty list
to the new environment variable like:
SAL_FONTPATH=
export SAL_FONTPATH
We can have that even simpler, we do not need to search for fonts
outside OOo's private directories at all if required; setting an
environment variable would then lead to only the fonts in
<ooo>/share/fonts/truetype being visible. However you need to make sure
that suitable replacements for the most standard fonts (Arial,
Helvetica, Tahoma, Times, Times New Roman, etc. ) are available, else
you will run into severe cases of documents not looking like everywhere
else.
