Basically both: mbSymbolFlag gets set on the font attributes if the
corresponding Impl_Font has a charset of RTL_TEXTENCODING_SYMBOL.
Impl_Font is a specific font already whereas Font is quite arbitrary and
before font selection.
As for the empty glyphs, I think you are probably right and you don't
have a fallback font for OpenSymbol on your system. But HDU will
probably have a definitive answer when he's back.
