Hi,

Is there any way to achieve the following requirements with OOo 2.1?

 - Choosing a favorite OTF font as a "Application font" with
gnome-font-properties, which will be used for every application
   on the GNOME desktop.

 - Wanting to use a TTF font as a OOo's menu font since OOo 2.1 has
probably not yet supported OTF fonts.

A hint "Changing the user interface font" [1] works with OOo 2.0.4
while it seems not to work with OOo 2.1 on the GNOME desktop.

Regarding an article posted by a user who has been looking for a
solution in the Japanese OOo FAQ web site [2], with OOo 2.1,
assigning an application font with gnome-font-properties works fine.
However, choosing an OTF font, instead of a TTF font, results in
garbled user interface characters with the OOo. The user wants to use
his favorite OTF font for all application software on his GNOME desktop.

With OOo 2.0.4, he chose his favorite OTF font with
gnome-font-properties and applied a tips [1] to use a TTF font with
the OOo. He has upgraded his OOo from 2.0.4 to 2.1 and encounters
the difficulties mentioned above.
