Of course you are. :-)

I just wanted to prevent disappointments ("if you had told me that
earlier...").

AFAIR the native splash screen has been discussed in the issues related
to it (for Windows and Linux, at that time we didn't have a Mac port)
and on mailing lists. Carsten or myself will have a look and give you
more information.
